Download your route to your phone and make sure it works without any internet connection, then do that on another device and keep that one as backup (if you have / can get a watch that will store this data thats even better). Send your route to someone you know and give them a time to call emergency services if they havent heard from you to say you are ok.
Make sure all your devices are fully charged, check the weather and dont bother if there is any lightning forecast or winds are > 50mph (maybe 40, its just miserable in the wind, more than rain) |
