I'm a similar-ish situation (m27) but haven't tried speed dating yet. How was your experience with it? Did you feel like 5 mins talking to someone was enough to generate a spark?
Btw as gigs go I'm going to Glasvegas in August. Not really metal but still a cool band if you are interested :)
