Im like queer but i used to do straight people stuff; I remember some of the rules.
In the UK in general considered a bit weird to *just* go up and ask someone out or make a pass or flirt or whatever. Its not acceptable in like the workplace for example, or on the street. Super weird. Some people will shoot their shot but honestly if theyre not following those social rules they might not be worth your time.
Theres times when it's okay; if you're at the bar in a pub or a club; on the dance floor; those are places where its okay. Theres also like social spaces for hobbies and stuff if bars arent your thing.
You have to put yourself in those places though or people will think you don't want them to make a move. Dress sexy and go to a bar and just stand on your own at the bar for a bit and see if someone offers to buy you a drink.
Theres some subtle signalling stuff thats a bit more chill than I hear it is over on NYC. |
