On ground floor first door on the left as you enter the close is 0/1 and the go clockwise so if there are two flats per floor the door on the right is 0/2 but if there are flats at the front and back of the building so 4 on the ground floor you'll have 0/1 on your left then clockwise to 0/4 being the flat on the right at the front.
If the stairs go up then turn back on themselves as most do you do the same as you did when you entered the block but treat entering the landing from the stairs as if you've came through the door so 1/1 is first on your left then go clockwise.
So, in a block with two flats on each floor 1/1 will be above 0/2. |
