If you do go down the self employed route make sure you are keeping detailed records and planning ahead for tax. Don’t be tempted to fall into the attitude of “worry about it later.” When your bill from HMRC comes it could be hefty and if you haven’t stayed on top of things you will end up in even greater financial difficulty.
They’ll sooner make an easy target of you for a couple of grand than millionaires and corporations with a complex web of tax avoidance schemes. |
