Not only that but you’ve managed it with all those hurdles in front of you. You can take pride in that!
Thats a great tip about the counselling service - I used it during my undergrad and it worked wonders for me. On your point about competitive colleagues, I’ve been lucky in that my department seems relatively free of nasty people. However I’ve heard horror stories from other ECRs in other unis about their colleagues. Some going as low as to steal work from the newbies to make themselves look good. Scumbags! |
