| Comment | Why the fuck not? Grassroots venues get fuck all from the taxpayer. "High culture" is funded to.the.hilt and makes a massive loss continually. While actual institutions like the Note are left in the ownership of folk who palbably dont give a shit. The current owner bought it over 20 years ago, as a going concern, from Craig Tannock's administrators, and has invested basically nothing in the place since... its an actual miracle the place still exists, and its due entirely to the passion of the staff not the owner.
