Many of the people in Glasgow just don't care and regularly drop rubbish on the ground or just leave it behind them at parks.

The council does have some part to play as there are very few litter pickers.

One of my pet hates is George Square. There are hardly any rubbish bins compared to the volume of rubbish that is generated. On nice days so many folk sit there and eat or drink and there are no nearby bins.

I have noticed this progression to hardly any bins over the years as I sit there a lot during my meal breaks.

Of the bins that are there they are situated right at the extremities of the square not close to where anybody actually sits. Whilst I don't mind walking halfway across the square to dump my rubbish I wonder how many others just say fuck it and leave it there.

There used to bins close to the long lines of benches which of course makes perfect sense but not now. To be honest depending on where you sit it might take you a minute or so to actually spot a bin in the distance.
