I drive for Amazon through an agency as a second job.

It's not the easiest money in the world, like all jobs has its good days and bad days (mainly dictated by the weather). However it is great for flexibility because its self employed. It's also a day rate for most companies, so if you get your route done really quickly the pay works out pretty good.

Depending on which agency you drive for, there is also a bonus scheme based on how well the company performs.

Be careful on the fine print for each agency though, some advertise a really good pay (upwards of £130/day) but don't include your deductions such as van hire, insurance, fuel etc. Expect to get paid closer to £110/day after all of this. Then add your tax on top of that. Taxes generally aren't too difficult to do, can set up a spreadsheet quite easily that calculates it all for you.

There are two depots in Glasgow, either Motherwell or Baillieston, both cover different areas in Glasgow. I'm at Motherwell and we do everywhere south of Paisley so thankfully don't need to drive around the city centre 😅 if you want details for the place I work at, drop me a message!
