A marriage is (hopefully) for life but the wedding is just one day. You'll be married wether you spend £100 or £10,000 on your day and it's what you do after that day that counts and as someone who had a big wedding and couldn't afford a house and as someone who is with a partner, not married but on the property ladder in a house that we love I can tell you that the home makes our partnership happier and stronger and I would take this every single time over the wedding.

Also I always think of weddings like going for a massage, it's amazing while it lasts but within a week everything goes back to normal and it feels like you never had it, but you've still had to pay for it! 😂
