| Comment | I also hired Stuart Blyth, twice, to get the whole flat done. His was not the cheapest quote we got, but he came recommended. We had significant damage to many floorboards, and he did a great job putting it right. That damage was billed separately, and his quotes were on a room by room basis, so I can tell you what he charged for sanding and varnishing (4 coats):
First lot in 2021:
Living room 5x4.4m - £850
Hall (lots of doorways) 3.5x3m - £600
Second lot in 2022:
Bed1 5x3.7m - £830
Bed2 3.5 x3.25m - £630
Box room 3.5 x 2.25m - £475
That fair added up, and we could have got a lot cheaper, but he had great attention to detail, went above and beyond, and stuck to the quote.
One thing to bear in mind is that Stuart (when he did work for us at least) works alone, so he will be a longer time in your flat than other firms might be. |
