| Comment | I just read your link. It makes clear that the person should have introduced themselves, and it’s the expectation of the professional to do so, and not for the patient to ask.
You must be familiar with the ‘hello, my name is’ campaign. But I suspect your concerns aren’t really to do with health professionals failing to introduce themselves, and more with the failure to train and recruit enough doctors, with the result that GP practices like this one find other staff to fill gaps.
This can be done safely and effectively, but that’s certainly not what happened in this case. |
