If old-fashioned British curry house standards is what you're looking for, it's hard to beat the Shish Mahal, the original. Flock wallpaper, 27 page menu, efficient but perfunctory service, smashing pakora, tandoor and biryani. Straight out of Brick Lane or Curry Mile.
