I was always aware that most taxi drivers are racist. It wasn't until I became a driver that I learned the city is full of racists.
Not a single shift goes by where I don't get "Thank fuck. A white driver" multiple times from punters.
Also very frequent to get "local driver requsted" over the radio which is code for a racist passenger asking for white driver.
A lot of the good jobs (like distance work) also go out to local drivers only. This is where racist controllers are keeping the good jobs for their white pals. |
