I guess be glad that it's just the subway that closes early, and not something across the whole country. Like English supermarkets.

Always baffled me everytime I visit England that all their larger supermarkets are allowed to open for just 6hrs on Sundays. So typically they're only open 10am to 4pm.

I remember coming home from a weekend in England, stopped by Morrisons at Durham on the way for snacks. It was around 5pm, pulled into the car park and it was totally closed. Went to the petrol station shop instead, and asked the guy there "Why is the supermarket closed? It's only 5pm..." and his reply was "ahhh. You must be from Scotland" 😂
