| Comment | Call shelter and other homeless charities, most will have their own contacts with debt reorganisation, payment plans and access to housing help, and possible help for you too for being in this situation through no fault of your own.
Unfortunately by not paying she's really shot herself in the foot - housing stock is vastly outstripped by people on the waiting list so I'd reckon until debt is sorted in some way she'll be lower on the lists due to been given the chance before and messing it up
If there is some actual reason for the rent not being paid such as having to pick "heat or eat", she'll be looked on more favourably by any sort of help/list in future - but if it was just not paying to try get away with it she'll find it far harder to recover from this.
