Its not NIMBYism to oppose capitalism like this. We have plenty other places housing could be built. You know 100% that these houses won't be affordable for your average person, and only a small percentage will be classed "affordable" so they can get the permission to construct them, meaning they'll still be expensive as fuck. Luckier still if some are classed as social housing, but that's rare as fuck.
What we really need to do is get converting brownfield into homes, not using fires as excuses to re-develop places for rich cunts that squat on the land, waiting for opportunities. |
