| Comment | Used to live in Prestwick many moons ago. Nice place. A good few folk used to surf/windsurf/kitesurf at Troon nearby. Prestwick is pleasant, decent pubs. Great part of the world if you like golf.
Mountains are a fair trek away, it’s a decent drive to Arrochar Alps, Loch Lomond & Trossachs, or GlenCoe. Munro bagging is a bit more of an undertaking if you live in Ayrshire.
You could drive from South Glasgow to Prestwick in 35-40minutes, but it a fair commute |
