| Comment | I said in my comment that we should have better operating hours for trains and the subway (especially the subway was what I said, it's right there). That being said, it is only the subway that closes at 6 and only on a Sunday, for the remainder of the week, and all week for the trains, it operates on a similar schedule to London Underground (which generally runs a schedule of partial closures for maintenance). The Sunday Subway thing is really poor and I don't think anyone can disagree on that, I don't know why they can't run a single circle and alternate each Sunday to allow the the maintenance but I'm not a rail engineer so am not really qualified to comment.
That being said, it still doesn't take away from the point that Mr First (forgot his name) is trying to make. Most days the trains and subways operate to within an hour of all but 11 buses (the ones being taken away). Taking into account the massive infrastructure differences between buses and trains I still think his point is pretty disingenuous. |
