i’m queer. i’m autistic. my father has jewish heritage. my partner is autistic, chronically ill, queer and ethnically jewish. both of us have every reason to be invested and eager to visit pink peacock, yet it was deeply off-putting for the repeated self-serving, harassing behaviour they exhibited.

this town has a dense poc population and they were put at risk. there was even an interview with holleb which stated that one of his poc friends was actually interrogated during the tote bag arrest instead of the white staff. in the past several two or three years it’s been not uncommon for my morning alarm to be a police siren. it’s not just pink peacock that have done this, as the police didn’t need much of an incentive to bully the people of govanhill, but they certainly haven’t helped.

no one is going to come here with a spreadsheet reporting how pink peacock’s fuck the police stunt impacted police traffic, it’s about lived experience. many of the people posting on here are going by experiences they’ve had that haven’t been screenshotted, recorded or documented at that very moment so they’re documenting them with what they have at hand - the written word. something you don’t really seem to get, because you keep demanding receipts or sources for PP’s harassing behaviour and insisting that bc people don’t come armed with CCTV footage of holleb posting a jobby to SLB that either the person posting the account is a liar or that SLB are liars trying to discredit PP. if multiple people are being harassed by the same business and multiple people are talking about it, isn’t it better to give them the benefit of the doubt and believe them?

i’ve also noticed that you posted a month later when the PP storm died down and everyone had moved on, so that you won’t get any comeback for your arguments. you know you don’t need to respond to every comment made about a defunct business, especially one with a lot of dodgy stories circling it. maybe take a coffee break or something? just a thought.
