Again, this just isn't true.

There are very few people able to do my job. It's one of the reasons it's well paid, and also the reason we are struggling to recruit people despite investing heavily in headhunters and outreach.

No one is forcing me to do this job. I do it because I love the challenge and want to be the best at what I do, and enjoy the high salary as a result. I will always have this career. I might not always have it in the UK though if it is not competitive on income tax. 28% of UK taxes come from the top 1% of earners. The UK needs to attract and retain these people as they pay the UK's way.
