Ask his consent to help, don’t be condescending (I mean accidentally, obviously you’ve got a good heart) but he might be fine struggling up and down the stairs.
Recommend home delivery of shopping, he may not be aware of it being an option, perhaps get a couple of deliveries yourself if you can to show it’s a fairly normal thing now.
If he’s not into any of that just keep doing what you’re doing, chat to him, offer to help and when he declines just tell him to chap your door if he ever does want a help. |
