| Comment | Oh aye because there are a plethora of jobs in bars in Glasgow with good pay and good conditions and if you speak nicely to your boss they'll even wipe your arse for you as well. Get real mate. I actually think we've had this argument about unions before. It rings a bell. But these people are putting their heads above the water for the industry not just in Glasgow but across the UK too.
There's already been some improvements to pay and conditions generally at bars in Glasgow because Unite are absolutely killing it with organising.
But according to you people should just put up, shut up and find a new job and not actually do anything to try and make life better.
If unions didn't organise we'd still be working 14 hour days as a standard and have just two weeks holidays a year and we'd still send eight year old kids down a pit. |
