My mortgage advisor flat out told me any flat that comes through with their name on it is considered blighted ground and hard to shift since they over reach as much as they possibly can, resulting in disproportionately high factor fees for an area and run-down common areas.
To get rid of them you theoretically need 51% of the home owners (including landlords, not renters) to sign and agree to boot them out.
In practice though, H&P are known to fight as dirty as they possibly can, hitting you with massive "disconnect fees" and anything else they can to basically threaten and blackmail you into backing down. Even if you stick to your guns it'll take literal months to get rid of them while they fight back hard. |
