| Comment | I can relate to this. I'm also 25 and working now, but since I'm not from Glasgow it's quite hard to make friends here. People at my work are older and have their own lives, I live alone so no flatmates, the 1-2 friends I made in uni all moved away. Tried meet-ups and it was okay but like you said, older people there. I'm in a club for my hobby (cycling) and while the club is fun, the people there as well are older and have their own lives. I do miss having a group of friends that are around my age to go to a pub on the weekends, or have a picnic with on a sunny day.
Perhaps you could join a hobby group and that would help but atleast for me I still find it incredibly hard to make friends with people when they've lived here for ages and already have established social groups. |
