Last year I did a mixture of train and car, was around the same time and price, little bit longer by train because I had to wait for connections and take a bus when I got back to Edinburgh. But I was going to the uni once a week, and parking far away so it was free. And I was going at off-peak hours.
At rush hour you will get stuck in traffic, and then you'll have extortionate parking fees if you're even able to park, meanwhile the train is more expensive at peak hours than I was paying but it's fairly reliable. Bus would also get stuck in traffic, I can't imagine it being reliable. |
