Glasgow is growing and performing okay across a few metrics (gradual repopulation, GDP per capita growth, private investment) It's maybe less that we're in a position of decline, just that Edinburgh's growth has (somewhat) eclipsed Glasgow's in a range of ways. Possibly for the first time since the industrial revolution. |
