If you were (un)lucky enough to be from Coatbridge and primary school age they started doing free swims all summer. Me and my pals easily spent a combined month or so there each year.
The ice rink originally had a small raised section but they took that away pretty quickly if I remember. Mammoth lasted longer. Other stuff would go out of order quite regularly and stay broken for ages.
Even at the tail end of my age to go there around 2003 or so the water and surfaces was already rank. Changing rooms in particular |
