I was an engineer at my last work for 4 years and a unite member for two of those.
The first two years my wage increased by 3% total. The third year (when I joined the union) they secured us a 14% rise with the threat of strike action and another 9% + less hours on shift the year later.

There's my first hand experience. Is that denial of reality anaw?

You're a fucking embarrassing cunt coming on here slagging unions and defending millionaires. Proper wee guy behaviour. Would put money on you never having put in a proper days graft in your life.
