Comment | I lived in Cairo and dating there was quite easy and fun just like how you're describing those other countries. It's mostly in person and natural like dating always was. I met many women who were open to being asked out. None of my relationships there came from dating apps. Several times, women even approached me at parties and events.
Whereas Glasgow, it is so bad here. Like I said before, it seems like 99% of folk here date through dating apps and you have to be photogenic, instagrammable and conventionally attractive to get any matches.
And something specific to my own experience as a man, I feel totally invisible to women when I'm in public here. They never talk to me or even look at me. And I'd never go up and speak to a random woman unless I absolutely have a good reason to. |
