No, it's one car per 4 or 5 commuters (possibly more when you factor in sharing a cab with co-workers). Multiply the number by the number of taxis.
One taxi potentially removes up to 5 cars travelling in rush hour. Theres over 5000 taxis in the city. If even half of them are working rush hour that's potentially over 10,000 cars left at home. Real numbers will be less, but it definitely reduces congestion. |
