| Comment | Totally agree. Some (most?) are definitely on things closer to low-capacity motorcycles (meaning they should have a license) than they are to pushcycles.
Some may well have started out at electric-assisted, but I think they may have been illegally modified.
I can also be pretty sure they are not MOT'd or insured either. They're not paid enough to cover those kinds of costs.
The likes of JustEat and Deliveroo are skirting the law because the riders are not their direct employees, to it is not the company's problem. I'd really like to see that kind of shenanigans cracked down on.
I'd also like to see the police stop and check more of them, but I am not sure that would be a good use of their time. Hell, if would be great if the police dealt with all the red-light runners, tailgaters, lane-hoggers, and so on. Not going to happen though, not enough resources.
