| Comment | Renfew and Renfield street are already there but Tesco and Smashburger are not on Renfield street, no point in having active travels networks that do not include the places that people are actually travelling to. Going from Sauchiehall Street to Sauchiehall street via Bath Street or whatever isnt going to help.
Having the back lanes might help reduce some of the volume of traffic but there still needs to be a solution to help cyclists and pedestrians co exist on Sauchiehall + Buchanan because they are always going to anyway.
People said the same about the bike lane on Sauchiehall street and its a huge improvement, there are plenty of much busier city streets that it has already worked on. |
