It’s up to x3 and that’s pretty rare. Usually scenario is just getting your deposit back.

And back to the OP, if the landlord didn’t conduct a dual signed inventory when you moved in, detailing the condition of the property and any fixtures / fittings, furniture, then he can’t make any deductions for damage.
