if you have done it correctly, within glasgow it's 2.85 for a single, second bus you take will be 2.15, third bus will be 0.40 (so 5.00 return, 5.40 day ticket).
If you need a receipt I honestly think you're better off paying for the 5.40 day ticket with cash - there is a way to request a receipt online but it's a bit of a faff.
In London and Edinburgh there is a similar system but you don't "tap off", only "tap on" (because it's a flat fare unlike Glasgow which goes up from i think 1.85 for a very short journey to 2.85 for a standard single, so that First can put on their website "fares from 1.85" - also i think if you're taking buses out to hamilton or dumbarton etc there are higher fares).
