* Speak to your neighbours, ask them to do likewise
* Clean all surfaces daily (mice pee as they walk)
* Buy a [couple of these](https://www.screwfix.com/p/pest-stop-sure-set-plastic-mouse-traps-2-pack/70203) (rat traps are available, but they are bigger), gloves, and smooth peanut butter.
* Wearing the gloves, bait the trap with a small amount of peanut butter.
* Still wearing the gloves, set the trap and position in where you think the mice are, bait towards the wall.
* Check the traps *at least* daily, dispose of corpses in an outside bin wearing gloves
* Replace the bait periodically wearing gloves
* Treat until the population is gone, couple of weeks (assuming no other food supply)
The gloves serve three purposes:
1. Reduces/Eliminates your scent transfer to the trap
1. Keeps you clean
1. If the trap triggers and catches your finger, vastly reduces the screaming
Cleared out an infested cellar this way (more traps, a bit longer obvs). If they have another food source, you may still need harsher measures. |
