| Comment | Had rats in our tenement recently. The council came out after 3 days, I know it’s shit but hold out for them, they’re a great service and put down all the necessary poisons for free. You’d be paying 2-300 quid for the same job from Rentokil.
The rats were getting in through holes in outdoor vents- if you can, use wire wool to block any gaps you see around the ground floor.
Also- tell everyone in the tenement not to be putting bird food out anywhere around the building. I literally watched a rat casually wander over to underneath a bird feeder from our bushes, to get the fallen scraps. Council guy said any food lying round outside is a huge issue and he’s seeing lots of folk with same problem. |
