| Comment | I spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about how crossings work. For example, if there's no junction, just a crossing on a straight road, I think there must be a timer that means there can't be two green man within a certain time limit - the busier the road, the longer the limit.
Sometimes on newer crossings it looks like there's a smart camera that gauges the traffic before activating the signal. |
