My issue are the attitudes of these "successful" people towards the poor. The narrative about how hard working they are etc. is always implicitly saying if only the poor worked as hard as me, were as smart as me, then they'd be just as successful as me. It's all bullshit coping mechanisms to enlarge their egos and sense of self importance. It's all about reinforcing the same old lies that have justified inequality for the entirety of human history. It's all about reinforcing a strict hierarchy in their minds where they place themselves above others.
Some of the laziest, thickest cunts I know work in the tech sector. There is no meritocracy and few escape poverty to transcend their birth class. Even worse are the ones who did it 15-20+ years ago and think the same opportunities exist today.
It's ignorance and cunts I'm against. I can forgive a poor, uneducated cunt because they don't know any better. But I'll never forgive some middle-class cunt with a second home wagging his finger at me or anyone else who is struggling. |
