My impression is that there are more dog friendly cafes and restaurants, but shops were never that welcoming.

Could be that there are just too many dogs now, and during the Covid years, a lot of people got their first dog , with not enough options to socialise their puppies and not enough contact/ exchange with experienced dog owners.

My impression is that there are more dogs, and a higher percentage of owners who are overprotective of their dogs and not strict / consistent enough.
