At my old place where I grew up, that was usually what happened. Folk up and down my street where I am now have always took their dogs in, so assumed that was the norm. It was for almost 4 years up until about 2 weeks ago and after one shop changed the rule, everyone else followed. Seems like we’ve caught up (?)
