CityLink 900 is £10 for a day return. There are options for multi journey tickets too. Not sure if there is a monthly pass or that I'm afraid.
The journey can take a while, especially compared to the Express train, and depending where you get the bus from you may not be guaranteed a seat, but it's much more cost effective than other options.
