| Comment | Arnold Clark, Evans Halshaw and the like are all fucking cowboys. Go somewhere smaller, via Autotrader, where they’re offering a guarantee (normally 30 days full, year extended). Then find a decent local, independent garage (community Facebook groups will have some they all rave about) where you can ask them to give it a once over after you’ve bought it within h the 30 days. Most will do it for free but you could offer money for their labour. Safest way to do it and you’ll not get ripped off. Oh, and pay a min of £100 with a credit card which will guarantee your whole transaction. |
