I believe the housing crisis in Glasgow is still in dire situation. I would recommend looking beyond city centre since the bus and train are pretty convenient (not too much now that they cancelled the night buses). If you're under 22 you don't have to pay for bus travels.
Not sure about working as a bartender but I assume it wouldn't be too hard since there are quite a lot of pubs and some smaller ones further from the city centre. I got a friend working at a pub during the summer. |
