I’m in the same age bracket and always found Oran Mor a good shout for the older crowd although not my favourite boozer by any means. The Belle, Curlers, Inn Deep would be go tos as well. I’ve gone to a fair few gigs on my own over the past year and usually end up chatting to someone.
