One thought: it might be worth considering other influences on litter than multiple deprivation - the amount of traffic, industrial/residential and numbers of shops and takeaways might be good candidates. A very simple test might be to look at litter in parks, since all the other influences are effectively held constant; round my way Queens Park is much messier than Newlands, for instance. |
