Very interesting. Love old finds like this.

The number 1 tram looks to be a loose combination of the present day 2 and 6 buses. Both corridors above are served by cross city routes, just a different variation these days.

Present day: The first number 2 bus is 04:57 and the last from town is after midnight.

The first number 6 bus is 04:56 and at the weekend towards Knightswood after midnight too.

Night services still operating but nobody seems to be using them so we know they are for the chop as largely publicised.

Services seem largely comparable tbh. Frequency has took a hit due to you know what. In 2019 the 2 was every 6 minutes. The 6A between Anniesland and Drumchapel was maybe a 10 minute service reduced to 12 now, but combines to create a bus every 6 minutes between Anniesland and City Centre.

You could have gotten a bus into town then switched to an X4, 3 or 6 depending on which part of Knightswood you were going.

I don’t seem to have any issues getting a taxi to or from town. End of the month is generally always busy in town. Add to that there was rugby and football on which brings people out into pubs as well as a match on at Parkhead, so there may have been a bit of a wait. They’ll come eventually. Town was very busy last night.
