My great gran was a "Grand mistress" of the orange lodge whatever that means. Short of it is she was staunch as fuck and obviously a bit of a bigot.
I never met her but my mum told me she went out to the ice cream van when she was a child and came back with a can of limeade. She made her take it back because it was green. Nothing green was ever allowed in her house!
