| Comment | People were not parking on Sauchiehall st to shop. The issues with sauchiehall street are to do with the gentrification of other streets (Buchanan) which leads to high rental costs no longer being feasible on this st.
This doesn’t stop landlords from asking for ridiculous prices though. They don’t care if they are occupied as they’re sitting on the building/land as an asset. Often from overseas.
Until we have more stringent rules regarding commercial property ownership, this will continue to cycle on across all streets as people get priced out and open in other areas. |
