| Comment | None are any worse than any other junction in Glasgow. They're basically all death traps and none are intended for active travel (which covers more than just cycling).
What little nod is given to cyclists is just ASLs and where they are not worn away, there is zero enforcement. Just as there is effectively zero enforcement of speeding, using bus lanes, passing too close, crossing on red, and many other common offences that put all of us at risk.
When enforcement happens, drivers get a slap on the wrist *if they're unlucky*. As is said, best way to kill someone in the UK is to use a car.
I have lost count of the number of times that fast reactions and disc brakes have saved me from some gormless twat in a cage who is too impatient/thick to actually look and see. |
